This really is an absolute bargain and needs to be bought ASAP. The car is the most perfect retro daily driver that I know. I think the problem is Chris (EscortGeezer) is a bit of a perfectionist ;D! The ding is nothing major, and could easily be sorted cheaply. Feel free to e-mail me and ask and questions as Chris doesn't get on here too often. I'll be more than happy to pass them on.

Now that is nice! If only it were a 2-door. Mind you, then it'd be triple the price! If I had sold the O-Mega, maybe... I'm

Whats the advantage of having a 1300 running gear. (Sorry, Newbie)

1300 running gear, gives the car better bottom end acceleration, but hinders the top speed. thats the downside.

Whats the advantage of having a 1300 running gear. (Sorry, Newbie) Mostly the running gear is the same between the 1.3 and 1.6 - brakes, suspension etc but the 1.3 has a 3.9 ratio diff in the back axle which will give better acceleration than the 3.54 diff in a 1.6. So this should surprise a few boy racers away from the lights Escortgeezer - you beat me to it

Is there a way to change the cubic capacity on the insurance quote, cos it registers as a 1300? I need to find how much thats going to be before I get involved

the car is still on the lo book as a1300 and i have never changed it, and i owned if for two years. the conversion was done before i purchased the car. The 1300 and 1600 blocks are identical, apart from the engine number. best way is to get a quote for the car as a 1300, then get one for a mk2 escort 4 dr 1600, popular or popular plus and that'll give u the info u need.
