It is with some regret that I am having to consider selling my lovely 180B estate. We have child #2 due in a few weeks’ time and I already have two cars on the road plus the sensible family car my wife drives, so it’s difficult to justify yet another at the moment.
It failed its MoT last month and the list was actually quite short, at which point I decided to get the front wings and valance fitted so it was taken to the bodyshop. With the old wings stripped off it has revealed work required on the inner wings and sills, pushing the cost up a little higher than I am comfortable paying with my current real life responsibilities.
Mileage is very low (32k) and it’s only had one previous owner. You can read more about it and see some basic pictures here….

Some better pictures to follow tonight.
It was in regular use until last month, which meant it’s had stuff like recored radiator, a new clutch and a service earlier this year. Being an estate means it’s super-practical too, and with rear leaf springs it can carry proper loads. Interior is excellent.
It will come with wings, valance and front panel, and inner wing trumpet and sills are available if you wanted to make a proper job of it. Datman and Ratdat both have parts available, and mechanically they’re extremely simple (and upgradable…) so no worries there.
You’ve seen the pictures in the Hot Olds thread and the other cool Japanese cars around, imagine what could be done with this. Doubt you’ll see another at a show – if there are more than half a dozen estates left in the UK I’d be surprised, and this is the early model so very rare indeed.
Price? I’ll talk with anyone seriously interested, but it won’t be given away for banger racing/export money. At this stage I’m just trying to gauge interest, and I can’t be bothered with the scammers and messers on eBay right now. If it doesn’t sell then I’ve got space to mothball it for a while, but that would seem a shame if there’s someone out there whose life wouldn’t be complete without owning this rather nice car.
Over to you guys and girls….
