Someone I know has just sold his Mondeo ST220 pulled his old Metro out after about 18 months to slap an MOT on it...It started first time but failed the MOT on Pads/discs, sill corrosion, floor corrosion, wheel arches etc but he can't weld and, as such, can't repair it. He was going to use it as a 'Ring toy. Fnar.
Comes with a 1.4 16v K-Series and is located near Chester...
Stu - fancy a K-series for your Pizzle?

Cheers Penksi - quite near me I will tell my brother in law as he has an MG midget and I believe the k-series is a nice fit in one of those, not sure he'll want the hassle of an engine swap but worth asking.

An update:
He needs to hang on to it for the time being to keep his no claims rolling (he's buying a Noble) but has a possible tidy-shelled GTi coming in to replace it.
If it gets replaced, he'll be offing it.

I think they'll hold NCB for up to two years - I recently looked into this when I sold a modern-ish daily driver and relied upon using my older cars which were insured on classic policies (and hence do not attract NCB themselves).
