looks like you missed that Post from another Bristolian above Bruce, someone bought it last week?! I think you missed the bit where a guy from Bristol bought it last week to save it from being scrapped and is now selling it. Hence all the recent activity.

Bruce, if you buy it as an Area 52 project then I have access to a huge amount of R4 spares - I'm sure deals could be done...

And yes i might get try and get it going, but with currently 39 cars and an e bay shop with over 2000 listing to look after, time has to be spent on looking after those, rather than something I saved from being weighed in. Getting some facts before cynical comments may be wiser. Jim, jdh Oooh, tetchy If you look at the last sentence of my post, cynical though i can be, I appreciate that some people make an effort. Obviously I had no idea what had happened to this over the years. Genuinely - well done for saving this from a fellow Bristol dweller.

I have to say, having looked back through the history, what a shame. This would be worth £2k plus if it hadn't been messed with. Well done Jim for saving it from being scrapped - but it's going to take superhuman effort to make a bad ting good...

Well done Jim for saving it from being scrapped - but it's going to take superhuman effort to make a bad ting good... Mayby now, but when I built it 12 years ago, it was just a £200 nail. A rusty brown one that no one else wanted. I am sure all us 'oldies' have stories of "if only I still had that now...". I once weighed in an AE86 simply because I couldn't be arsed to replace a rear cylinder. And my mates 626 Montrose coupe that he just left in a field one day... Sigh... if only... The Renault still exists though, and this pleases me!

^ Yes - all fair enough - sorry for my grumpy moment earlier. And I'm being completely hypocritical as usual; my brown Renault 4, which I had around the same time, is rusting away...
