I have a friend who's selling a 1995 Ford Scorpio Cosworth. It's an ex-Armed Rapid Response vehicle so the engine is tuned to put out more than the standard 24v Cossie motor! 85k miles, leather interior, would make an excellent transplant! I'd have it myself but I have no space and nothing to put the engine in Car has T&T and is unbelievably fast!!!! He wants 900 for it if anyones interested. Car is in Birmingham.

Is that the Ugly-fugly looking type or the Granada 3 type....
I was looking at a Vectra / Mondy 24v for 'er indoors as a replacement for the dog-poo Arsetra, but if I can get something cheaper then the more I can spend on silly things for the Beemer!
If it looks like a melted wellie, she probably won't go for it though. Also what colour? Apparently that's important to girls! ;D

Ah, it's the one that looks like a Corsa with a thyroid problem. . It's white (used to have jam-sandwich decals but they're all gone now) It's an auto - I forgot to mention that. There are a few holes in the interior where radios and guns were kept. It goes like a bat out of hell! I really really want it but I haven't got the petrol money to get to B'ham never mind to buy the thing! ;D

Bummer. White isn't good. Fugly look isn't good. Saloon-ness isn't good. Was looking at an ex-rozzer Vectra on flea-bay last week. Damn bargain! 'Twas 2000 (x-reg) low-ish miles ex-traffic V6. Mental quick and went for only £1900 in the end!

I think ex-police cars have a bad press, but I think they make a good buy. OK so they're driven hard, but they spend most of their lives on the motorway so engine wear isn't that bad... The Scorpio I reckon is good transplant fodder - thay are one of the ugliest cars ever (and this one being white makes it worse!) I was thinking: Mk5 Cortina, completely boggo, with the Cossie running gear ;D I would do it but I have no space and no money either

Ex-gun squad un-marked Vectra V6 is top of my list for "wife wagon" right now. Cheap as chips!
