This car was originally bought from VAG in May 1991, making it possibly the first or at least one of the first G40s sold in the UK. It was rebuilt approximatly 5 years later by the last owner to a standard where it was featured in PerformanceVW issue 3 (December 1996).
Under my ownership the car recieved the above mentioned uprated brakes, the 68mm pulley and the wheels / tyres listed above (not the ones in the PVW feature if you've looked)
After revieving 3 points and a fine on the first day I purchased it, the engine has never been pushed. I have not driven the car for the past 9 months (mortgage and home improvements taking my money), but have got it MOTed and Taxed during July. It runs great and only required one tyre and the top strut mounts replacing for an MOT pass.
I also still have the original BBS alloy wheels, body moulding, front grille and most of the badges. The mouldings and front grille are colour coded to match the bodywork.
I have had it serviced by VW dealerships, as had the previous 2 owners. I also have receipts and test figures going back to the rebuild in 1996, so documentation is excellent
The car is in great condition and still gets heads turning, and a few tongues wagging. I have been asked on numerous occasions by Nova and Renault 5 owners as to what car it is!. This car is going to become a classic and they are getting rarer.
Grab this very early G40 now and keep it in a garage or do whatever you wish with it (just think how much demand for Mk1 GTi's has grown)
Price: £3250 ovno
please no time wasters
