I have two Ford Sierra Type 9 Gearboxes for sale. These are from a 2.8 XR4i, so I believe these are the Heavy Duty jobbies - longer input shaft, better bearings etc.
I have two of them - one has a Ford Exchange sticker on it, so probably has been rebuilt sometime in the past. I haven't seen these running so I don't know for sure that they are good 'uns, but the Sierra they came from was rotten and had no mechanical probs.
