The time has finaly come to part with my oval
its a 1954 right hand drive uk car. I have owned this car since the begining of 2000, and am the 6th owner the previous owners all living local to the area, infact have had the pleasure of speaking to the 1st owner at stamford hall a few years back.The car is painted in matt black inside and out, the body work is not perfect, but certanly not rotten, all panels are orginal except for the rear valance.
The car is roling on a set of erco spun wheels, 4j at the front and 6j at the rear, with 135 smart car tyres, and 195-65-15 tyres, these wheels and tyres have only done 500 miles max!! :eek:
The interior has been replaced with a TMI kit including sports front seats, all trimmed in brick red vynil, this cost over £700. There is a flat 4 eliminator shifter, and the standard batwing wheel.
The engine is a 1641 with twin kadron carbs, mated up to a late gearbox. The engine was bought a few years back and was once a volkspares unit, but has since been rebuilt, i've had no problems with it.
Sold with the car are the orginal bumpers, gearstick, and seats, and whatever else i find
The bad bad bits are that its had one piece windows fitted which look cool, but were never finished off, the liffters need to be changed to later ones, i have these and the orginal glass and quater lights if you want to change it back to stock.
Also bug jam last year i snaped the key in the lock :mad: and have never got round to sorting it, i probably will get it done before somebody views it.
It will be sold with full mot, got none at the moment but again will by the time somebody buys it.
I bought this car when oval prices were sky high, and have spent loads on it, but its got to go as i never use it, infact only used it for bug jam and vanfest last year, i do about 800 miles a year in it, and the rest of the time its tucked up in the garage.
