I've always been a Ford man, always had Fords and only really look for Fords when I'm on the buy. I've been trying really hard to broaden my horizons, honest, but I just feel comfortable with my pre-'blue oval' motors. I guess it's because I cut my teeth on them and I know all about them.
Anyone else find themselves stuck with the likes of BL and can't shake them off even with a curse word stick?

I must say, i only really look for dattos ATM since getting the 100A. I still want a '58 DeSoto to go custom on, and would love to build a severely hardcore 5-window A 'rod. But until space and money allow my mind has gone very one-way!

hmm, used to be almost exclusively pre '76 Rover V8 and Saab turbo obsessed, but I was young and foolish and as my waistline has broadened so have my horizons, I'll go for almost anything as long as I like the looks and it's rwd or 4x4 (V8 is defiantly a bonus tho)
Also a big Dagenham dustbin fan aswell tho..

Have always been into Citroens but since 1998 (three years after passing my test) there have always been other cars coming and going. Quite liking my Merc experience too though, I must confess! I don't get Fords - they just don't seem worthy of the following to me. Perhaps I'm missing something. I do like some of them - 105E Angleboxes, Mk2 Zephyr/Zodiacs and Sierras.

Don't like stretched tyres, very low profile tyres & I think a car CAN be too low. Perhaps I'm odd.

Surely you're not suggesting Fords are over-priced & over-rated ? ;D

I've never been a one marque man, in fact I switch between styles, eras, countries...anything goes! I usually get into whatever I have, but rarely stay inside a scene when I buy the next car. I avoid Fords though, strangely.

Would never like to be a one make kinda person (no offence to those who are), but variety is the spice of life n all that.
Current makes include rover, saab, ford, vauxhall, mercedes, triumph. Love em all for different reasons.

I like other stuff, but its Ford for me through and through. I guess its cause i've owned a few and found them to be reliable, cheap and easy to work on. The only times I have strayed from Ford into BL/Rover, Volvo and Nissan its ended in tears and stupid repair bills. Jonny stick with Ford you know it makes sense

Not really. What I have found though, is I'll buy something, like the car, then gradually work my way through several examples of the same thing till I reach my ideal variant, then switch to something else

I'd call myself generally a BMC/Leyland man for the same reason Robin has said he likes Fords! But the last year or so I've broken that mould a bit as I would like to experience other makes and models. I doubt I'll get a Ford though simply because of the prices they go for. I don't see that a Mk1/2 Cortina estate would really do anything so much better than the Hillman to justify a much higher purchase price.
The problem with chopping and changing marques though is establishing where to go to get bits and who are the traders to trust.

I think I'll always have a VW/Audi product in my life - I'm certainly never parting with my mk2 GTI. Had Fords before and would love another mk1 Fiesta and I'd get stuck into building it properly, too. I want something more retro in my life though, handily we're moving to Malaysia in the next few months so I'll be spoilt for choice. Don't be too surprised when I return four years on with the Datsun 510 I bought in the first week I got there... ;D

I'm into most marques, although VWs (of all cooling types) are my 'primary' interest.

I seem to be stuck buying vauxhalls all the time LOL. I have a real urge to buy BMW (esp E23s!), FB and FC Rx7s and a Triumph 2500 but I never seem to get even close!

I dunno, I like my old J-tin but end up buying them more by circumstance than anything else - they tend to be unloved enough that they go for quite cheap money, but in good condition and with MOT/tax.
I was very close to putting down a decent amount of money on a fairly local Austin Ambassador about a month ago, changed my mind due to being fairly low on money at the time. Would I do it given more money in the bank? Certainly would!

Around 15 cars so far and all VW's, lol.
I'm in the process of buying a BMW 2002 though so am trying something different (and rear wheel drive...)
I had an Opel Manta but it never ran and was rotten so I chopped it up.
