Dang, I forgot it was this weekend. Mallory's only 30mins form here too.

Aye, its Mallory. A mate lives 5 mins away and is a bit of a lover of the place as his mate has raced Midgets there for like 15 years or something. Its a great spectator track. Donnington is my "local" but its not such a good track to spectate at or to get photos at either. All IMO.
Both Donington and Mallory have historic GT racing which I *really* will be down for...
Camera is a Canon 400D, pit pics were taken with the 18-55 kit lens and the track shots with my new 70-300 telephoto with a UV filter on the end. I could have done with a refelctor and a polariser for the pits. Strong sunlight this time of year means hard shadows and plenty reflected glare.
Next time eh

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Is number 48 on Wobbly Webs? *n yeah. I saw more of them in one day than you'd see in a lifetime otherwise. Several similar period Lotii had them on.

I can't help thinking that for trackside work a EF-S 55-250 IS might be the lens to have. Although that doesn't have the USM as well. I have a feeling fast autofocus is a boon... I found the 70mm length a little limiting TBH. I suppose it depends on how close you can get to the track. I'm looking forward to getting some track shots from Santa Pod, I reckon I should be abel to get some good ones with the 250-300mm range there. Defo needs a tripod though at that length.

Single seater SEX! I do love the old cigar cars.. Something so simple and pure about them. Front engined or rear engined, they just look RIGHT. 4 wheels, a human being, and an engine on the point of explosion..
