For the Sierra: The obvious, total body restrorations and bare metal respray in the original colour scheme. A set of these (or very similar)...... One of these....... Two of these......... A carbon dash (just because, its £1410.00 ouch!)....... More suspension work (uprate rollbars, poly bushes etc) .......I would probably be quike happy with that setup ;D

my mk2 tin is still wearing most of is original paint and 99% of the flor is solid and original ive often wondered what the ideal car would be , for a cortina driver the natural car to apire to would be the lotus but i don't like the twink it doesnt put out enough power and requires too many rebuilds an i didnt wan a 2 door , thats why mine has 4 i guess it would by shm but with rose joints to replace all the steering links a 4 link like andy pipes escort/ puddys tina alloy fuel tank seperate tank for the methanol all steel 1825 xflow on a NOS ax block ( i can dream a little bit lol ) dry sump ( under the bed ) nitrous ( under the bed ) bike carbs ( under the bed ) have jamesp band some mondeo steels to 8in 3in lower hmm , best i pull my finger out project for a couple of years is currently a mk1 consul/zepher/zodiac with audi v8

Errrr......... a GMPP 572 big block with Edelbrock pro flo injection. m22 4 speed box A rack and pinion conversion kit Better brakes Replace the rust and holes with metal and a splash of paint, probably GM orange flame.

Hopefully the Uno is coming out exactly as I want it for this Summer. However if I win the lottery 2009 would be:
Space frame'd. Double wishbone suspension at the front Custom Made lightweight beam axle at the back 999cc engine de-stroked to 895cc, all steel, CNC'd head, throttle bodies. Rev to 16000rpm. 6 Speed Punto S1600 sequential box Body all carbon fibre bar the roof Big built in trailer arch style extensions 13x10 splits on the front, 13x7 or 8 splits on the back.

I'm getting there with the GTI - it looks exactly as I want it now, it's the drivetrain that's my next step. It needs Happich Popouts and an old Audi 80 tilt and slide sunroof. Future plans include buying a knackered mk2 Syncro for the fuel tank, boot floor and tunnel. Fancy a Passat Syncro rear axle to match my Passat front wishbones. Will need a VR6 Syncro gearbox too, then I'd ideally like the whole seam weld, acid dip, galvanise and fresh paint treatment everybody else wants! Why the desperation for a 4wd mk2 GTI? Well, because when I put my ABF in I'll probably get used to the power quite quickly, and putting too much through the front wheels is a waste of time! Also need to finish refurbing my RS001s, god only knows when I'll manage to do that...

OK, this is what I'd do today if I could Herald: Shiny paint over sound bodywork Either a turbo 1296 Triumph engine built tough or an MX5 driveline swap. Other than that it's pretty much there. Oxford: Less rust! More steel! More mild custom tweaks to the existing bodywork, back lights etc. Pillarless 2" roof chop, probably still in family friendly four door variety, wiht teh screens laid down rather than chopped. Proper satin paint with some sort of scallops/flames. Airbags all round with a four bar arrangement on the back. Chrome reverse rims. The built MGB engine I've got ready to fit....though an MGA twin cam lump would be awesome for OMG! looks at classic shows ;D Saab would have got proper old style air cooled V-dub flavour - wide five stud pattern with Ercos or something and on a nice rake with the front end on the floor. Oh and the other car? That'd be telling!

Money no Object.... For the Samba (it's VERY easy to get carried away).... Strip down, Acid Dip and e-coat the Body and Chassis. Repaint in original colours - trying to stay true to the original finish (not too shiny!) Recaro front seats and standard rear bench, retrimmed in period OEM-style vinyl (with harnesses in the front and 3-point belts in the back) New sunroof cover and electric mechanism (for ultra laziness) New rollcage (old one will have been cut out to refit interior!) Porsche Brakes all round with Genuine Cup Wheels PROPER built gearbox with Quaiffe Diff. (love the idea of a Hewland Sequential 'box but that's a little excessive!) EFI for the motor, go a bit bigger on the heads and cam to boost the power output. Fit dual Optima Batteries Xenon Headlights and (subtle) LED rears ...that'll do for that I reckon! The Westy T3 would get... Uprated Springs and Dampers with a subtle lowering (can't go too mad cos of the underslung tanks) BIG Stereo and an LCD monitor for DVD/TV/PS2/3 a set of these powdercoated satin black Retro-fit the power pop-top mechanism from the T5 California camper Retro-fit PAS Freshen the paint Swap out the 2.1 WBX motor for a nice 2.0 170PS TDI (or a V6 TDI) - Torque-tastic! It's FAAAR too easy to get carried away though, so I'll stop there!

A large triple size garage with hydraulic lifts. A massive tool kit.
Amazon would be acid stripped back to the metal and resprayed either in 80 Grey or Old English White. Sack it, probably satin grey.
Some considerable bracing or seam welding, decent LSD, full coilover set up front \ rear,
And an XC90 Yamaha V8 up front, or a 289 with alloy GT40 heads. Failing that a full Ellemann Jakobson B20 on Solex PHH carbs (these are as rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony curse word!)
A full wheel tyre set up, which would include:
1. Torq Thrust D 2. Moon Speedmasters 3. Watanabe F8 4. Redrilled Porsche Fuchs.
If I really wanted to go for it probably a rewelded front panel to take in some early grille shells and and early hinge \ boot handle set up.
And I'd do all that and then go back to Uni with all the £££s I would have, and drive a diesel 306 round to confuse people ;D

How good would it be if a 'Retro-Rides syndicate' won the Euro Millions or summat! ;D Ace plans so far Hmm I try not to think about what to do with money I don't have (cos I'm usually spending it anyway). Hmm, Sierra would not be a million miles away from whats going to happen, Respray in something nice, Met red or blue, Nice racing wheels, Carbon bonnet, and dash and int panels like Robin. matching seats (they won't be), LS1 instead of RV, Coilovers, and generally loads of trick bits, just cos! reasonably light decent ICE install. MR2, Similar, full on race trick bits to support a MK2 2.0 Turbot being dumped in by Paul Woods. Cage, tidied and semi stripped interior. Custom tweeks to body, 2 sets of sexy wheels. Van, Pro help restoring body properly, Bright yellow paint (prob) , Same steelies or 3 spokes. CR500Dom style zetec install, Air bags too maybe! I love virtual money! top thread!

If money really was no object, I`d want some of my cars to combine together Transformers style to form an enormous destructive killer robot, and then simply go on the rampage. Take out Cleckheaton or Dinnington or something. Big laser guns controlled by the Sierra`s indicator stalks.

I'll give you the GT6 and upload the design sketches at a later date:
Firstly clean up the body and strengthen the chassis to accept that 3.0i 6cylinder in the z4 with 6speed manual- Diff to match with 5 stud hubs and rear discs. Large diameter front discs and 5stud hubs. Independent rear suspension setup and uprated front - alloy wishbones (avail from rimmers or frontline or someone). The biggest diameter wheels i can fit, front and rear with wide rears and tubs to accomodate them. Rolled arches all round. Front valance made and bumper tucked into body, front grille to be larger opening like an E-type. Louvres on top of bonnet like E-type - louvres on side on bonnet like a Ferrari 250. Body completely smoothed out and rear wing seams welded. Mazda MX5 handles. Doors given rounded corners and full stainless surround on door jambs. Back lights replaced with Mustang 3piece items, rearend re-shaped to smooth out the swallow tail. Rear bumpers like split corvette ones. Centre exit dual exhuasts inset into matt black rear diffuser. Front lip of roof removed, sunroof removed and all smoothed. Rear window louvres in matt black. Roof sprayed in Piano Black (down A-pillar, B-pillar adn C-pillar to line where roof meets body) and rest of car sprayed in silver/champagne with darker lower edge. Interior has seats pushed back as far as possible - these should be high back, slimline buckets. Interior all done in tan leather, brushed aluminium and rubber coated surfaces. Wheels either gold centred Watanabes or chrome Torq Thrust II's.
