will 205/60's go on These seem quite plentiful and cheep as chips on the bay. What about 11 or 12 x 14. Pics would be much appreciated! And what sizes do we think these are.

I'd go for 225/40 R14. Althought 205/60 is 20mm narrower its also 66mm taller so will look like a big balloon tyre.

225/40 14s is the only way to go IMO!
EDIT: Great minds think alike! ;D

Part of things
Don't like stretched tyres, very low profile tyres & I think a car CAN be too low. Perhaps I'm odd.

Toyo do 225/40's for just under £50 a pop. 195/55 would look awesome on a 10 but thats more stretch than most people are willing to run. 225/40 onto 14x12" would be puuuuuuuurfect.

Got any suggestions for a pair of sizes then, to go on something like a oh i don't know, a boso/shakotan inspired 230ce perhaps. Realistically there has to be an absolute maxaimum limit of £200 for rubber. I'm not in a position where i have a set of wheels to use, i'm going at some point to get some factory 14"s banded, so can get them banded to a size that suits easily available tyres, rather than having to find a pair of tyres to suit a specific width. I'm looking for some stretch like the pic above, though they look very expensive tyres. Here's some more of what i'm aiming for:

with a lot of swearing you'd get 195/40's on those. ry did it with 195/45's on his 10's, so its not completely impossible
youd get the 'king of stretch' title too

Indeed. Just found this over on Wheel Whoreswww.vag-tuner.com/groundhaus/Stretch_calculator.xlsMore than just a stretch calculator. Its certainly helping me visualise what i can expect from wheel and tyre combos.

That stretch calculator is good but its doesn't show as much stretch as will actually occur.
