I love the Reader's Rides section of RR. It's great to see everyone so busy and getting their awesome retros ready for the 2008 "season"! But, I tend to click on the same ones. There are tons and tons of awesome projects going on and I'm missing out on loads! So I thought it might be an idea for people to post up the ones they're watching... maybe we'll all find really cool builds that we've been missing out on! Here's a few that I look in on... 200SX Morris MinorUtterpiffle's W140 LowriderOldbus's V6 Taunus TransitDick Deluxe's VolvinaDefinitely not a complete list - I look in on loads more. But there are stacks of projects that I'm missing out on! I see Street's Escort project every day in real life... so I don't need to look at that one! ;D Which Reader's Rides do you look at?

I tend to dive into whichever are near to the top, so if people update them regularly I tend to keep an eye on them. There is so much awesome work going.

Pretty much the ones you mentioned. Anything with Nightmare's name on it. Dez's Model A. Dom's Kadett. Anything Chevette-shaped. Street's Escort.
There is an awesome crop of projects going on at the moment, I can't wait to see some of this stuff in the metal

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

There´s just so much good stuff going on, i´m like a kid in the sweet shop! ;D
Is it just me but every now and then a thread turns up and i think "how the hell did i miss this one?"
I just love all the details, it´s one of the things that i miss when reading magazine articles!
A compliment to all who make the effort to show us what you´re up to, here are my regulars...
Street´s escort Nightmare´s van Cliff´s Minor Grizz´s van MrJ´s Passat Jonny 69´s Anglia Doms Kadett
and recently "discovered " Benzboy´s W114
All inspiring stuff, giving me loads of ideas and even more motivation to get stuck into mine.

Such is the diversity its impossible to pick a fave. I am a bit of a van anorak so the adventures of Oldbus and Sidspop catches my eye. I am constantly amazed at the quality of work, particulary when its done without shelter and nothing more than an extra pair of underpants on to keep the icicles from the knackers. I confess to being a closet fan of xbo11ox, I love his style of writing, clear, consise, to the point and always informative. All in all it inspires me to get off my backside and go and do what I thought of doing to my Scimitar the moment I bought it. Hopefully a Readers rides project coming soon.

I read it all, as I do not sleep so well.
Some of the crazeee stuff gets more, like Daves bus, Nighmare and Slaters stuff and actually even just typing here I realise it is a broad stroke for me.
The Mad minor is another one, coz it is being executed so well, like the V8 Celica.
You see, there, lost it again. We all learn and contribute, so pretty much everything has value, even Pogs Cats.

I tend to sort of just stumble on things and end up reading through a 20 page thread and getting totally inspired. The V8 celica is a good example, stumbled on it about a month ago and sat and read the whole thing. Have no idea how i managed to miss it previously but it gave me a very pleasent evenings read and also gave me one or two ideas for my own projects.
the ones i try to keep up to date with at the moment are utter piffles benz benz boys benz streets escort v8 chevettes chevette jonnys datsun other jonnys anglia
I also regularly look in on anyone who i know to see what they're up to. I know its not really cricket, but theres so much stuff in readers rides that i tend to just pass over the threads of people who i'm not familiar with. If i was to read everything on there i wouldnt have to time to get out and build my own car ;D

You've no idea how happy i am that the Magnum made someone's list!!! Back of the net, in the red!!! (And no buddy, again, you cannot have the Magnum!!!!! ;D ;D ) I watch most readers rides as I'm a loser and i don't sleep much so spend most evenings looking through this! i always zoom in on the vauxhalls first though so roughly that'd be: Coggers' Firenza and Kadett Boring's Firenza Dom's Kadett Pallet30's Firenza Nitemares Viva OpelScott's Viva but I'm the same as everyone is saying - so many legendary cars and so much to look - randomly here : JP's Mini, Dez's model A and lowrider, Nightmares' entire fleet to be honest, etc etc etc ......too many good ones so i just keep scanning!

I like any threads in readers rides where - engine swaps are undertaken - major welding/restoration - upgrades to chassis/suspension inc hydro and air - resoursefullness in terms of approach and method is undertaken - Painting in non spray booth enviroments In fact any thread where someone gets away from the PC goes and does something and then shares it with us all with some pictures to help us understand and to give us all inspiration to go and do similar good work...... So thats pretty much most of the threads in readers rides and I wish I had time to read and comment on them all I wouldn't want to single out any in particular as to do that would be unfair to others - obviously I have a passion for wedgy coupes from opel so any with those get my undivided attention but thats not to say I am blinkered to all the other contributions of other forum users. ICE, body kits (plastic fantastic variety), boot builds (except hydro systems) and things of that nature leave me cold........ Like the wide mouthed frog I don't see many of those here Hell it's cold in the garage and colder still on a driveway and from a personal perspective I've done nothing with any of my projects for months but thats because like a lot of people here I use the worst months of the year weather wise to do a little structure research and planning
