... On a side note I spotted the new disco, it was playing havoc with my ocd with the rear plate position.!!!! ^^^^^lovely sd1......pile of **** new thing😃 I'd swear but this forum is too polite. What the bejesus were they thinking when they gave the ok to that disco rear end? Get a grip, sack your staff. ah yes, but let us not forget that this is a design from a company whose chief executive said, when their new prototype was roundly slagged, something along the lines of 'If the enthusuasts don't like it they can go hang!' Land Rover Dc100 anyone? The new "Disco" continues Land Rover's recent trend where the appearance of every new model makes me actually appreciate the look of the outgoing one In this case, it does it so comprehensively that, even just a few months on from its introduction, the Discovery Sport doesn't look so bad!!! (There are many similarities in the design but at least it doesn't have that !) Like many others it would seem, I am struggling to understand what they were thinking with that design Anyway, I posted this on the " abandoned" thread; just to show that maybe some cars of that ilk get the TLC they deserve... it properly belongs here, so getting me back on track:

Down my mate's place last Friday. TR7 in storage in the yard next door. Putting new sills on his P100 ready for the MOT. MX5 is on the to do list. SAAB's and MG are his too, one runner, the rest spares cars. Alfa just visiting. His old Sunbeam grasser.

saw this yesterday in sunny grantham, an absolute minter, looked straight out of a showroom, even the interior looked brand new. Not often you see one of these looked after so well.

.... Never seen a Nissan Micra convertible before! Technically, you still haven't. It's a March, converted in-house at the Pike plant where the likes of the Pao, the Figaro and a variety of other March-derived "special projects" were built. But yeah, if I weren't so pedantic.. That new Disco is the only vehicle I've seen that makes sense of the similar asymmetry seen in the equally odd ar se of the Datsun Cube, also based on the March as it happens, whereas the new Disco appears to have been built to a set of drawings that were rejected by Ssang-Yong for a Rodius upgrade.. Must try for a photie of the neighbour's latest purchase; a bright blue Reliant Metro Cab with a late 2.9 litre Cologne V6 out of a post-Reliant (Middlebridge) Scimitar, meanwhile, down the coast in the South Beach area of Blyth, I saw the same asspiece in the green MGF who nerfed the sis-in-law beast's Riley off the road on a local Drive It Day run, when he just had to prove how large his womble was by overtaking on a bridge against the lights. That fool should be forced to swap his F for one of thae Discos!

No photos unfortunately (sorry, dead annoying I know!) round the back of one of the film/tv studios at Salford Media City, is a load of 70s/80s east European cars. Ladas, Skodas, Trabants, KGB style Volga etc. I'm presuming they're some sort of set dressing for a drama set in the communist era. Visible from the tram to Eccles if anyone is going that way.

Stumbled upon a small car show and hill climb today while out and about in Westerham, Kent.... That mini 4x4 virus seems to have spread past the border:

That Sunbeam Stilleto is interesting, would like to know more. Big truck is awesome too. Isn't it just? 5 stud hubs, wide arches, and are those shock tower extensions in the bonnet?

Spotted this Rialto this afternoon. It had a white bonnet and was exactly the sort of shabby this sort of thing should be.
