sorry, not contained within but a e-beer for the first to find same on youtube or where ever.
Anyone watch Alistair Stewart's police camera clip show earlier? Had a great one. It was from maybe the late 80s (the cops were driving SD1s) and they had 16 minutes to get a liver for transplant 7 miles to the hospital. The catch? The 7 miles is across central London! Luckily they took a camera car on the run...
Plenty of interesting retro cars diving out of the way during the sequence - a nice red Mk3 Cortina base model, a Datsun 120Y, a 1971 Pontiac Trans Am....
Some nice shots as they just drive straight across Marble Arch....
It enbiggened my evening anyway.

Brilliant videos! You should see the comments on the last clip though. There is NOTHING stupider than a Youtube commentator is there?

Ever seen that whole website dedicated to speed camera reprisals by angry UK motorists? The means of choice is gas inside an old tire hung onto the offending seeing eye. I thought our tea parties were bully affairs... What are they called? Gorks? Fatsos?

The traffic round here have to do high speed cross city driving as part of their training. A typical one was to drop an officer off at Leeds station who'd get the train to York. The police driver then had to get to York station before the train. They did this at 5pm on a weekday.

that was the one. Top I saw was 72 MPH going through the west end, might have been up the mall. dunno, my memory is hazy and my knowledge of London Streets is abysmal. Which is pretty mental when you think about it.

Those SD1`s were excellent with the V8 but our force used the 2.6 which wasn`t as good. I bet the brakes were shot as they were prone to fading. Good video though.

Is the 116MPH full wack on these V8´s or wasn´t he trying hard enough? ;D

Mine's a pint of Old Speckled Hen, ta. Thanks Pog. I last watched that quite a long time ago and probably before I was driving but also probably around the time my dad had his first V8 SD1 ;D. Now I know some of the roads it really was quite an incredible achievement. So much wrong side of the road stuff. Akku, it was Hyde Park Corner they drove straight over. Fantastic! I parked in the middle there on Christmas day morning At the top of the mall they make a big deal out of going the wrong way round the "cake". That's the way the road goes now, its no longer a roundabout! Was it maybe a Moke blocking their entrance to the hospital?!

saw the second half of this and was marvelling at it, its a quality vid with lods of retro tin in it, german Mk1 Golf holding them up, as well as the Mini Moke at the end blocking the hospital entrance...these days it'd be far far busier imo
