I don't usually talk to people when spotting because, hell, they already think I IZ NUTTAH because I'm walknig round photographing old tat cars in the street but I was kinda caught in the act by the guy that runs the seriously old school garage which this 1947 Humber Snipe resides at. And a well decent chap he seems too. I don't like to publicise the locations of cars I spot on the net (seems "wrong" somehow) but if anyone wants to give the guy's garage a try I'll let you know details. He had a early Maestro there as well. Proper old school hangers on the wall with cork gaskets and the like. Well class.
Old Ford's never die - but their owners and relatives do... Spotted this on in the car park of a local cemetary. Has a Granada OC club sticker in the back window so hopefully won't be on the oval track too soon....
Notice what looks like SERCK font plates, but in acrylic not pressed ali.
Proton full of crazee ladyeez. Who's gonna "do" one before they are extinct? Protons that is not the biffahz
How white is this 205? A rare pre-63 model as well judging by the suffixless number. Like the Renner 5 in the back of shot too. Well arty by my shonky standards.
I was just pondering how infrequently one sees these Mazda 323F Execs when I realised my last Spotz thread had two in and then I saw two more parked up next to each other. fuggers
Now sadly I took the following photos in the pitch black on my mobile phone, but more pic will be forthcoming if I can find this sucker int he daylight. Its a really tidy mint green Orion which I swear to you guys appears to have been jacked up at the bakc, old school style and is runnig wider back rims than front (RWD offset) Capri Laser rimz with fat rubber.
REZPEKTZ
My ol knacker. I stopped at the side of the road to have a wee whilst out and about and the car looked nice in the "picnic area" so I snapped it.
MG BGT golden LE aniversary or whatever it is, maybe.
I call this photo "why I should invest in a decent SPOT-cam rather than the slow POS I have which takes 5 second from button-push to shutter actuation" or otherwise titled "This is not a Renault Five, digital media (c) Akku 2008"
Very silver boyracer Fiesta. Why is it they signwrite when their cars are for sale? Whatever happened to a bit of A4 paper held in with selotape? Isn't vinyl cut lettering a bit OTT? Or is it a new style I'm just not down with and the car isn't really for sale?
NOT RETRO. But strangely attracting the Akku-luv. Can't be far off?
Who loves sedan style 80s/90s FWD J family tat/minicabs?
Or rather who doesn't?
Saab
Rat look YAH (check the roof rack, gottabe a Scenester dude, whoa, yeah!)
Morris Minor pickup with a rather odd small wooden "bed".
Delightfully quirky, odd choice in tail lights too. Looks like he reversed into a trailer too fast. I love it.
Incidentally getting a bunch of these photos I realised I was driving very slowly round one of Nottingham's famous red light districts with my window down and a camera. "Officer, I can explain... " The things I do for you guys, huh?
I think this Vectra was stock all bar this bizarre Klingon Kitt spoiler
Tina a work, why not?
I saw 3 of these today, all red and all driven by Asian guys of a certain age with white beards. And yeah, defo three different cars - on H, one G and one J reg'd (IIRC). Its a plot, a conspiracy. Was it Wordsworth who wrote "my conciencience follows me about like a spotted dog". Well mine follows me around like a SPOTed red Toyota Corrola.
This made me smile. "You can't get thicker than a kwik fit fitter" as the advert used to say. You can - A Kwik Fit Manager.
Type 2 camper, on merc alloys with some rake.
SLOW CAMERA SUKKKZ AGAIN!
Non-jacked-up Orion
Now I need to go spot at this place. But every time I do they have nothign interesting in. Lots of older Porsches, BMWs the like go there as well as some modern Exotica. Spot the E30 up on the ramp though. Ditto a local paint place which seems to do a nice line in classic, vintage and modified stuff. Except when I turn up with a camera and then its all insurance jobs on Mondeos.
Pseudo arty shotz of Breadvan Polo (or was I drunk? I hope not, I appear to be driving, but am obviously not offisher!)
Oh the lightz iz zo tripppppy
Big ugly brown yank gayvan.
WANT!
Mazda 323 with boot. Neat. People came out of the pub & looked at me funny so I left without getting a better pic
Judgig by the tax disc this Metro has been MOT'd within the last few weeks. My tester wouldn't have passed it. Rear arches were a particular delight.
SHONKY. Needs a 1.8 VVT motor and nitrous. And maybe a source of bent MOTs...
'nother Old Landy. This one out in the cuuuuurntryside
This guy's so posh he has a Rolls Royce in his garden.
March? Surely not yet its only Micra. I mean January.
Will it look great when finished? Will it ever be finished or will it stay "Nottingham Look". Which is like South London Look except it is applied to 1990s hatchback and coupes and involves the fitting (but never painting) of a body kit, pref with steel wheels and Halfords wheel trims and the obligatory "Crusing is not a crime" sticker, despite the fact that in Nottinghamshire it actually is...
Yeah my snot again
Retro soon? Mk3 Ashtray in rag top type. The mix & match alloys can be let off 'cos its parked in the car park of a tyre fitters. Maybe.
MEDIUM SIZED PIMPIN'
230E was in for an MOT I think. Hope it passed.
Mad as a Micra hare
This Max Power wet dream was parked outside the driving test centre. Which kinda made me laugh a bit. Actually I like it. Nitrous is claimed, as a NISMO bits. Hense the reg plate.
Wonder if he got the plate first then sorted a car to match or the other way around?
I had one of these. Up Town Top Tankin'
I also like looking in peoples gardens and yards. This open gateway leadinto a big city garden with a huge array of sheds all full of tat. WINNER!
Sierra 2.3 4x4 Ghia Estate would be about the dearest non-Cosworth Sierra you could buy new?
Nova needs the treatment. Why does nobody buildZ the 4 door saloon version? This was pure Grandma and waiting the touch of a R-Rer.
'nother W123. This is a 200. My dad had a 280E that colour.
Would have got better pics of this one but the owner appeared and didn't seem to take kindly to me photographing this way low Civic. hardslam or bags/juice?
Or just a lot of skirt?
One for the Skudlikkers
Caravelle
