Is there enough interest to do a Photoshop thread? I know there are quite a few keen 'shoppers on here! Anyway, here are a couple I've been messing about with.... ^ Slammed Commer in grey primer with roof chop ^ Candyflake Ford Capri Classic (?) People could put their cars up for a "virtual modding" ;D

I'm no good at it either, but I've done a few! This one took little work, I've made a 2 door, slightly roof chopped and slightly lowered Vauxhall PC Cresta, the original is the little pic in the corner, don't you think Vauxhall should have made that car? And you've all seen my 5 door estate > 2 door van conversions, right? Morris Ital (familiar to a certain member of this forum of the forum! ;D ;D) And my Lada Zhiguli panel van And I was pretty chuffed with my Trabant pickup too, I've even modified the border of the advert to suit (Kommerziell was supposedly the German translation for Commercial if the no good translator website I used is to be believed! ;D ;D) Which was made out of this

How do you lower a car in photoshop? Adam There's usually at least a dozen different ways to do the same thing in Photoshop, but this is how I do it. There may be a quicker / easier way - if so, someone let me know! 1: Get the pic of the car you want to lower. 2: Select the Polygonal Lasso tool and carefully select the whole body of the car. When you get to the wheels, follow the wheelarches rather than the wheels. 3: Once you have the body selected, right-click inside the selection and choose Layer Via Cut option. You should now have the car body as a separate layer. 4: Select the Move tool, and click on the body. Hold left mouse button down and move the body over the wheels to the desired ride height. 5: Now, you'll notice that there's a nasty white outline of where the car used to be.... not good. For this next bit I normally turn the car body layer off, so that I can see what is going on. 6: Select the background layer, and with the Polygonal Lasso tool, select the top half of the image, all the way around the top border, and down to about half way down the image. When you get to a position about level with the wheels, Lasso across but avoid the wheels. 7: Right click and select Layer Via Cut. 8: Make the car body layer visible again, but don't select this layer to work on - keep it so that the layer with the top half of the background is the one selected. 9: Select the Move tool, and drag the top half of the background down "behind" the car body until the white outline is no longer visible. You may need to shuffle the layers about before you do this so that the car body layer is on top of the upper background layer. 10: Depending on the background scenery there may be a funny crease where the top and bottom halves of the background have been shortened - you can normally tidy this up with the Clone Stamp tool. Hope that helps... it's a bit difficult to explain without pics etc. If you want any more help just let me know . As I said, this is just one way, and there may be a much quicker way of doing it that I don't know about! ;D

Good work Rev! Like the Trabant. Funnily enough I've just finished "modding" a Trabbie... ^ A... errrm.... Trabriolet! I'd love to do the mods for real but, alas, lack of cash and space make it impossible . I've got enough on me plate doing the Merc!

Love the Trabriolet! What a clever name! I think a few companies tried Trabi convertibles, other than the military Kubelwagens and the similar Mini moke-ish Trabi Tramp, all of which are well cool and I want! ;D ;D ;D Here's a Kubelwagen, what potential does it have I wonder! ;D ;D ;D And here's a much messed about convertble Trabi, I have to say, yours looks better! The only thing with my Trabi pickup is that of course it's not a case of simple fabrication (although I'm not really any good at that either! ;D ;D) since a Trabant isn't made of steel, alloy, or fibreglass, but a weird stuff by the name of Duroplast, and reinforced with some funny things, llike cotton fibres, so I wouldn't know a thing about how to go about fabricating the various parts of the cab and bed that would need done, and I'm not sure fibreglass would bond well enough to create any kind of structural rigidity, since it's two different types of plastic, so it might handle like a teabag unless you done some MAJOR structural strengthening, spaceframe chassis and full cage anyone?! ;D ;D ;D Ah well there's no harm in dreaming!

Riteo problem time, anyone care to help solve my background problem?? Picture tutorial would be good lol! Easy... cut the background out too! Imagine a selection line from the left of the pic to the edge of the bumper, then along the bottom of the bodywork, then from the front bumper somewhere to the right edge of the pic. Then just move the lot down instead...
