Need to pick your brains once more.
I'm trying to figure out how to have a chromed nitrogen bottle in the back of the merc - as the rusty curse word looking items you get from BOC really aren't tickling my fancy.
Can you buy empty nitrogen bottles from anywhere and then just go to BOC to fill it up - so you can hold on to one bottle (so if i get it chromed), or the other idea i was pondering is would a nitrous bottle be able to hold oxygen free nitro? As they would be easy to get hold of, and would be pre-shiny already.
Dunno if either of those ideas sound like crack-talk but anyhoo any help appreciated.

Nitrogen comes from BOC at 2750psi if I recall correctly, but they pick the empty bottles up with a truck and take them away. Your best bet might be to get a smaller bottle chromed for the car and fill it yourself from a 6ft bottle from BOC. What we did was balanced the pressure in the two bottles and then topped it up to the desired pressure with a second bottle.
What's this going to be used for, pumping bags quickly?

Yeah to run the airbags in the benz. The brackets in the boot are made up for the 40kg boc bottle size.

They won't charge a bottle unless it is tested and tagged for the pressure. The sleeve idea would be your best bet as you never will get a guarantee of getting the same bottles back from charging.

whats it made of? can it be polished? As rodit says you could never be sure to get the same bottle back from BOC, besides don't think they'd be happy if they kept getting shiny bottles back each time. The sleeve idea sounds the easiest to me.
