Did a trade with CtiStu on here for some useless golfclubs (well to me at least) for a head unit and 10 disc shuttle. Where do I start looking for bits of paper on them, owners manual/fitting instructions type stuff. They are for the bus when it goes 12volt.

Is that what that shape hole's for? I've got a hole that shape in the dash of the Ronda/Hover I'm smoking around at the moment. It had a rectangular plastic thing stuck in it, when I poked it with a bic pen it spat loads of flat brown spaghetti at me. I tried folding a cd in half to get it in but I think the load mechanism's broken or something.

;D ;D ;D ;D Got a nice 8Gb Ipod-malator thingy as well, it will get lined up if the radio preset can handle it all. But the CD player is currently still a nice to have. Thanks Cheeki, looks like these are too old for the models to be on there.
No probs, there are only so many wires to manage... I will give it a go on the day.

grizz, sonys usually use the ISO standard radio connectors, two blocks of 8 connectors. Top plug is power, bottom is speakers If there are 3 block plugs (top one with much smaller pins) ignore the top one, its for an amp/graphic eq or remote controls. pins are from memory, will check later.. 1234 5678
1 Ground 5 Permanant live (memory) 6 Ignition switched live 7 Power ariel/aux out supply
Second plug is speakers
1 LR + 2 LF+ 3 RF+ 4 RR + 5 LR - 6 LF - 7 RF - 8 RR -
The multichanger plugs in via its dedicated lead, some need separate power and earth, some don't. Should be obvious (does the multichanger only have one plug (the big one) or is there a second, 2 or 3 pin one?.
If you don't have the connectors to plug into the radio, most modern cars have them as standard, so go to a scrapyard with some sidecutters... failing that, halfords etc will part you with about a tenner for a set.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Thanks Cortina man, it will be some time before I fit it, so may well come to you again with a stupid look in my eyes.
Hope all is good up your way.

In my daily, I use an adaptor that charges while it plays (or not) and plays it through the digital radio, so perfect for me, it sort of negates the need to have a CD shuttle as well, but then, it does add more options. Thanks guys for the help, when I get to fit it, which will be a while yet, I am sure I will call on all of you again. Just hoped to get the paperwork sorted in the mean time. grizz, sonys usually use the ISO standard radio connectors, two blocks of 8 connectors.
