Bit of a garage disaster! Just tried changing the connection on my cheapy compressor so it'll take a standard airline connector without leaking air all over the place and the casting's split! >: Can't really see any way of repairing it/bodging it so what should I be looking for? Uses? Well, the ever important ratchet! sanders, drill, and I'd quite like to have a go at spraying so I guess it'd need to be able to run an air mask as well. Budget? Well lets not go daft, I know you get what you pay for but I've just blown a years tool budget on a crane, welder, engine stand etc... Oh and a load of air tools.....

I got me a Wolf compressor with a 25l tank and the only thing it won't run is the crappy Ebay cut off saw I've got. Twin outlet, with one of them regulated. Came with a load of air tools and was £110 delivered. Runs my HVLP paint gun no problem.
If you can find a high output comressor with a large tank then go for it, but some of the budget stuff really isn't bad. Genuine output is more important than tank size, to be honest.

I've just bought a massive one for my workshop and I've got a pretty good size one now going spare, if I wasn't 100% skint I'd probably keep it but as you're in Ipswich as well why not pop over and take a look
