Right, I'm still pondering getting a van, and you lot talking about Transporters has got me thinking again. What's the going rate for them? My thinking is, I want to get rid of the Donkey (swap for a book of stamps or something ;D), and get a vehicle that could earn its keep that I wouldn't have to get rid of as soon as the Benz is done . Realistically I think a VW is beyond my budget (which stands at about..... 37p at present...) but I'm not really sure what they go for. Other ideas are a grotty Sherpa (proper traveller!!) or a Trannie with interstellar mileage , or a LWB Landie. Any suggestions about prices and other possible vans welcome. I'd REALLY like a CF but they're fetching proper money nowadays

AAARGGHH!! Another t25 lover!! Seems just about everyone want's one of them these days, INCLUDING ME! Seriously, brick's seem to be appreciating at an astonomical rate! They seem to go from about £500 for a real snotter ex-builder wagen that's liable to be a whole heap of trouble up to several thousand for nice camper / surf wagen. It's just not fair: Five years ago I was offered an eight seater bus wedge for £100, fully t&t'd. AND LIKE AN IDIOT I TURNED HIM DOWN! (I wanted a "proper" camper back then - what a blinkered fool I've been!) If I can do the requisite persuasion, I might be off to look at a camper brick near me on Tuesday.... As for alternatives, a Tranny will run forever, but the bodywork on anything under £1000 will be utter holey wibblepoo. I like the idea of a Sherpa, of course accompanied by sheepskin coat, sovereign rings and a smelly lurcher.... How about a Renault Traffic? They're cheap as chips! < traveller!

have to agree with nickb.people are wanting money for them now. t25s are the next big thing. theyve got plenty of potential and they look good in the weeds. saw a cool white crew cab on monster rims when i lived in newquay.didnt have a camera to take a pic :(I'm sure you guys would have approved. 70s toyota hi aces are cool

don't buy a sherpa or a tranny - they run forever but the body will be a teabag for 500 quid

Yeah I really want a wedge, but I think I missed the boat for picking up a bargain . Probably going to go halves with my brother on one (don't worry he's a retro-nut too, so no Mk5 Escort vans! ). We could maybe then stretch to a shabby T25 or something along those lines ;D Another crackpot scheme is to get a Nissan Prairie and panel it up . Could well turn out to be a support vehicle for when we take our respective motors out (when they're finished! )
