Was just sat here idly thinking, my dad has occasionally mentioned looking for a Perkins engined TE20 with an aftermarket hi/lo box for use in ploughing matches, however we already have 2 TVO TE20s which are used for match ploughing and an International B250 so another tractor seems a bit unnecessary....internet searches don't turn up anything for either a supercharged or turbocharged homebuild and I would think something that was boosting from idle would produce a reasonable increase in bottom end power and be half the weight of the Perkins. What am I missing? Compression is about 6:1 and timing is fixed as standard.

I have nothing to add, except i'd love an old tractor and plouging matching have to be the saddest, most comical things you can come across when driving lanes... And i've seen metal detectorists...

The optimum number of tractors is n plus one where n equals the number of tractors you already have.

Eaton M45 and HS6 SU……. Engine might survive up to 8 psi boost, but you’ll have to run it on petrol.

Will that blower survive fuel/ air mix running through it?

Will that blower survive fuel/ air mix running through it? They do get used like this. Apparently successfully. Dunno how long they last. Maybe not the biggest issue on drag tractor?
