	Hi, Has anyone here recently bought a car and been able to get a car taxed by filling in a V62. Google seems inconclusive... I've just bought a car and the P.O. had a V5, but not the most recent one 😂. So obviously I couldn't tax it. Insured just fine. He thinks he may know where it is and who has it but I'm not holding out a lot of hope. As I understand the V62 turnaround is 6 weeks but some sources suggest I can wander in to a Post Office with a V62 and tax it there and then. Anyone got any experience? I don't have a cheque book and I like to tax my cars monthly on DD 😐

	So went ahead and phoned the DVLA - which takes aaaages - to be told to go to the Post Office. So printed off the V62, took it to the P.O. who at first said they'd sort it and tax it there and then. Except they couldn't. Had to send off the form with my cheque (amazed I found a cheque book tbh) which is now about £3 for a first class stamp! So no driving on the road any time soon 😞

	V5 received this morning 🙂 That's 20 days from sending, and I know from my app that they issued it on 6th November. Quicker than I was expecting truth be told.
