Volkswagen Type 2 Bay Window Camper is a classic model from 1973 with a manual transmission and petrol fuel type. The colour is cream over mint and has a sleeping capacity for two people and a pop-top (currently without hammocks), however, the bus does come with an Olpro Cocoon Breeze inflatable awning (cost £600) that can sleep up to 6 comfortably and takes 20 mins to put up.
I have owned the vehicle for 10 years, but having recently retired, the bus is not getting used as much as she used to. She is a real head turner and I was stopped in a car park by a couple who asked if I wouldn’t mind using her for their wedding (which I obliged!). She has been well-maintained and is ready for its next owner.
VW type 2 bay 1.7L 1973 RHD.
ENGINE- 1.7 litre type 4 and starts and runs lovely - within the last 12 months has had:
• Twin Carb Rebuild
• Wheels refurbed
CHASSIS – Has had not required any welding and any inspection is welcome.
BODYWORK- Nice and straight and was recently valeted with a paint sealant. She has had paint and bodywork completed whilst in my possession (photographs available on request) but of course being 51 years old she is not immaculate and there are imperfections but best to come and have a look and a chat.
INTERIOR- Cream/Green upholstery in great condition with Saab front seats which are extremely comfortable. Rock and roll bed with postoperative roof for extra head room. Sink, hob and storage units on one side.
Also has a consumer unit to allow for electric hook up.
