This is my daily driver and has proven to be very reliable & comfy.
Good motorway cruiser. Appears to be a low-mileage 'survivor' car but is certainly not mint and won't be winning any trophies. Paint is fine for a driver, not fine if you're fussy. Looks solid underneath. Original vinyl roof is good. The interior is particularly good, showing very little wear. The transmission shifts perfectly, including the kick-down. Engine does not burn oil and sounds sweet. Recently been fitted with a new 2-barrel carb, decent on fuel & runs great, auto-choke works perfectly starting no matter how cold. Also new are the alternator, voltage regulator, tyres, engine oil & filter, and transmission oil & filter, just had all new steering joints along with grease & alignment so now drives very well. Has factory electronic ignition and a set of new Accel 8mm plug leads. The side exit dual exhaust is new, with new glasspack mufflers, but is of a 'home-made' quality. There is an annoying blow from the exhaust somewhere up front. Also the rear brakes can lock up under sudden heavy braking, not sure why. The brakes are excellent under normal driving conditions. I can't think of any other negative points, electric windows work, locks work, gauges work, etc. All lights work. Drivers door lock knob is missing, and the interior handle is loose. Original matched keys. Original vintage Keystone Klassic wheels in good condition, two tyres are new, two are almost as-new. Interestingly this car was sold new to Belgium, and has a KM speedo. It's been a great daily for me for the last 12 months but it's a bit big for my country lane commute. I'm looking to take a deal/swap/PX with another car BUT it must be physically smaller, be pre-1986, and be interesting (to me). Things similar to Falcon/Dart/Duster/AMC/Jeep also British or Swedish classic would all be good. Finally, I'd also swap the car for £9,900. North Staffordshire.
