You may have seen coverage on social media or whatever about Mortonhampstead Motor Museum down in Devon which is closing due to the owner's retirement and him not being able to find anyone else to carry it on.

So a few weeks ago I thought I would take a trip down to have a look while I still could. I booked in and when I turned up they literally greeted me by name, thats a personal service... Anyway its an old bus depot which is a home to a quite impressively well packed in collection of mostly British cars and mostly post war to 60s era but some newer and some older. Some standard, some modified, some competition spec. A nice slice of what some fella fancied collecting and putting on show. There's automobilia, bikes, books, and all sorts in there. The museum was stated to close in September and the collection to be auctioned off at that point, but due to the number of people like me turning up they are staying open now until Novemeber. Its a nice little place, and a nice drive, and a nice little town its in too, so its worth checking out while you still can.
whilst there I met a fascinating lady who lives nearby and keeps her bike there, its Royal Enfield she bought when she lived in India and she rode it back to the UK which I think she said took 7 years! She literally went right round the world on in.
