This has been coming a while. For the sake of my sanity I need to unload this, It's just not happening for me.
I'm not going to get this finished so it's up for sale. This is a project with all the right bits there but will need some work. Details as follows.
It's a 1969 series 1a Humber Hawk fitted with a Chrysler 318, 904 auto box and a 10 bolt rear.
The body is stock and in good condition. It has had a lot of restoration done in the past but does require a few bits of tlc namely a door and the drivers side A pillar has some rust by the top hinge.
The battery is relocated to the boot. Also in the boot is a new servo and electric vacuum pump.
The fuel tank has had a sump fitted and threaded outlet and return. Fuel pump is a new carter electric mounted by the tank along with a filter. Fuel lines are braided hose.
The steering has been fitted with a Corsa C electric power steering unit which works well.
The engine is a Chrysler 318 bored to 324cu.in. (0.040 overbore) and fitted with Keith Black flat top hyper eutectic pistons. Crank was freshly ground and fitted with new bearings. The cam is a Comp Cams hydraulic Hi-Energy 218/218 with johnson lifters. The heads have a home porting job. The intake is an airgap copy with a 600cfm Holley. Headers are home built tri-Y's which merge into a 3” stainless single exhaust with stainless muffler. The starter is a new mini starter. Valve covers are Edelbrock ally ones. Distributer is a Pro Comp HEI with 8mm wires.
Radiator is a two row aluminium one with pusher electric fan.
The transmission is a Torqueflite 904 completely rebuilt with Koleen steel plates and quality clutch plates and bands. It has a Transgo stage 2 kit fitted and a rebuilt (split and checked) Boss Hogg torque converter (about 2200rpm stall). The shifter is home made and has “slap shift” function. The trans fluid goes through a new cooler.
The prop shaft is a new heavy duty one.
Rear axle is a Chevy 10 bolt but not the best one, it's the smaller ring gear type. 3.00 gears and an LSD.
There is a set of four 6” wide banded rims which unfortunately have no tyres so a potential buyer will need some wheels and tyres to move it (sorry about that)
The main issue is that the engine ran a bearing during break in. I started to strip ready to pull the engine but that's it, mojo gone and reality bites.
The wiring is not pretty (not my work), it really needs a rewire. The interior has deteriorated and needs attention but it could be done at any time. It is also looking extremely neglected now but just need a mega clean.
There is a front disc brake conversion to go with it using Mercedes discs and four pot Jag calipers.

Photos when I can get round tuit
£4500 but would consider part ex with cash from me for a pre 1960 vehicle/rod on the road (not too pricy ta).
Finally a picture from about 5 years ago. It no longer looks like this, it's very dull with some mossy bits, much to my embarrassment. Photos of this by request.
