Apart from my 92 Chevy (which is work in progress!), I run a 2012 van and the 2006 XC70. 2 months ago I needed to use my breakdown service, Autoaid, when the van failed to start and was told that because the van was over 9 year old I had to pay an additional £25 which I did. Comes my renewal last week and on top of the annual cost, my renewal includes an extra £21 because I use older vehicles which is in addition to the £25 on call out! Double whammy. Just feels like that you are pound screwed at every turn I just want a no fuss/no drama service if anyone can recommend one.

It's been several years since I quit recoveries, but Brittania Rescue always provided exactly what you asked for. I never did an Autoaid job without some problem caused by their atrocious attitude.
