1979 Suzuki LJ-80 4x4
20,000 odd genuine miles on clock.
Very rare model, the Granddad of the Jimneys and SJ models.
Very low miles and owners, matching numbers, been off the road for years.
Starts runs and drives great.
Engine runs sweet - with the low miles its as close to a new engine from factory as you could wish for.
Body wise, it looks really scruffy, but is remarkably solid, needs a few localised welding repairs to a sill, scuttle panel, couple of patches to floor and tailgate. Chassis is rock solid.
Brakes will need going through, although hand brake will hold it.
Obviously a restoration project, but its all there, and pretty straight forward.
Wiring will need looking at, as its had a few splices and loose wires, although not much electrics in these!
Seats are tatty, however good bases and frames etc (I do have a spare good set of MX5 seats I can throw in if buyer wishes).
Bonnet has some rust so needs a repair or replacing.
V5 Logbook, keys etc.
Comes with a rare hard top, a set of metal doors, plus a set of canvas doors (super rare), a spare wheel carrier for the back, extra set of wheels, spare gearbox, spare transfer box, rear floor mat etc.
Great fun to drive, and mechanically bullet proof.
Only selling as I need space and don't have any spare time.... however if this sits around long enough I will have my fabricator complete the welding, and will have it painted.
Located Hertfordshire.
Feel free to PM me interest.
Happy to arrange delivery anywhere in UK at cost.
Thanks, Matt.
