People say you shouldn't modify your first car. I failed pretty badly on that part. This is my 81 244GL, that I've owned for 6 years now. In the time I've had her, I changed the engine from a 2.1 Kjet to a 2.3 Turbo from a 940, placed the car on bags and tried to make it as much OEM+ as possible. The wheels are BBS RF in 17x8.5 and 17x9. The airride is a mix-match of BC, GAZ, OCD and a bunch of universal airride parts, all managed by Airlift 3P. Currently I still have a set of Recaro seats that need to be made to fit the Volvo seat rails and get them reupholstered, have a Blaupunkt SQM 108 that I'd like to fit and I need to finish a sneaky little subwoofer setup.

Thanks everyone! Needs a build thread! Great looking thing. Honestly I'm so bad at keeping track of a project. I might be able to find some pictures from old forums and old phones. But don't expect a detailed build log sadly.

It looks so cool. Did u wax it or covered with something? I want to but do not know what is better ceramic coating or waxing. Read here gleamworksdetailing.ca/what-does-ceramic-coating-do/ that the sun's UV radiation can lead to fading, oxidation, and brittleness of your car's paint. By applying ceramic coating, you create a protective barrier that absorbs and disperses UV rays, preventing damage to the paint underneath. This is especially crucial in sunny places such as Vancouver, where UV exposure is high. So now still thinking.

My clear coat is not as nice as these pictures make it look. I try to keep the car clean but its not waxed or anything. One thing I do like to do, is spray the car down with Sams Detailing Cermamic Boost before rinsing the car down after washing. This will make the car very hydrophobic. However, it doenst stay on the car for as long as wax or a proper ceramic coating would. But its not expensive and its literally spray on-rinse off so I'm more than happy with the result.
