Afternoon all,
My "new" daily has quite a bit of surface rust under the back end. Still at the point where it's only surface rust, but I reckon another winter and it will need welding if left.
My thoughts are, pop the rear wheels/suspension/bumper off and wire wheel all the rust off (most likely the nylon wheels), treat the metal, and then apply some kind of undercoat/bed liner type product.
What products actually work for this? Rust stop/rust converter/sealer?/stonechip or bedliner paint.
I don't want to go full 80's and just cover everything in tar type stuff lol.
