Hi guys been a extremely long time since I've been on a forum but feel I'm making a lot of progress with my latest fiesta be rude not to take a trip down memory lane, so story was 3 years ago my fiesta was going to get scrapped as the receptionist at work wanted rid, she offered me it for FREE so you can imagine I snapped it up ,if it was rotten or knackered I wasn't going to loose anything, got it on the ramp at work and found that the inner and outer sills wanted repairs for the MOT and as far as I could see nothing more, so I got to welding her up and a MOT done and she was good ! Since getting the fiesta I've been replacing or repairing, the plan with the fiesta is to have a zetec s 5 door, I've two kids so a 3 door isn't a option, here's progress over the last few years
Done so far:-
Inner outer sills repair both sides
Lower arms
Track rod ends
Anti roll bar links
Anti roll bar d bushes
Osf outer CV boot
T-belt water pump
Clutch kit
Heater valve
Cherry bomb exhaust
Poly bush rear axle
Zetec s dash trim
Zetec s front seats
Puma gear knob
De-tango front lights
Gel badges
Zetec s side skirts
Zetec s bumpers (pending at body shop)

I'm liking this already. Picked up a 1 owner 2002 3 door freestyle in pepper red off a long standing customer of the garage recently. These fiestas need saving and fast. Good luck with the build.

They definitely do there getting few and far between, usually have the same fate as what mine might of done, I got mine as more something for myself I've a family two kids and had a real rough couple years mentally deep depression so I think this coming into my life has given me a bit more of a youth feeling and something to do in my spare time , always been playing about/modding fiestas for last 15 years so it's nice to finally have one again and go out to meets, I'll post more progress as I go on and more photos I find through my phone as there's plenty,I'm sort of staring this thread well into my ownership 😂

I just remember workin on these as a long haired spotty apprentice an now I'm a bald headed ruddy complexioned future heart attack victim with an eye on the past. don't get me wrong, ive always loved all marques of fiesta. My mate an i should be at the gathering in the pepper red car.

That sounds like me 😂 16 years in motor trade as a mechanic, I'll still be faffing around with fiesta when I'm old and grey 😂 next thing I'm going to is ford fair well sure there will be things in between, and I'm hoping my zetec s bumpers should be back soon !

Also, don't worry about the mental health thing. I suffered from that due to a marriage breakdown. Turns out somethin as simple as a Ford Fiesta can change that! All jokin aside, chin up, use this forum as a place to post victories, good or bad, document the build, and above all, have a laugh doin it!

Thankyou 🙂 I use to be frequent poster on here but you know how life goes, apprenticeship moving out family stuff like that, I can happily say though that Ive never been more solid if that makes sense plodding on every day 🫡

I was more a casual observer here, my brother is the true talent in our family. Like i say, take small victories with a virtual fist pump from me, any setbacks I'm gonna shake my head an look forlornly into my cuppa tea like my elderly boss from 20 odd years ago used to do. Anyhoo, my (our) bog stock standard freestyle will be at the gathering because my bestest mate Ross and i are celebrating 20 years since Max an Paddys road to nowhere.

more progress this week got the zetec s kit finally finished and it looks as good as I thought it would, also been doing some more repairs mechanically this week
Front calipers
Rear shoes
Rear cylinders
Two front top mounts
Aux belt
So ready for its MOT next month 😎
