Hello,
Has anyone got any recommendations for a good breakdown / recovery service for classic cars?
Also a good reliable tracking service in case of theft.
Thanks,
Tony

If you are insured with ClassicLine, our policies include breakdown cover as a standard.

If you are insured with ClassicLine, our policies include breakdown cover as a standard. I have cover with one of those 'premium' bank accounts. One condition is a current MoT test certificate. Does Classicline have the same clause or does it accept 'MoT Test Exempt'?

Hi there, thanks very much for the question. If a vehicle is not registered as historic (MoT exempt) then the vehicle will require a valid MoT for assistance to be given. If you have any other questions, feel free to give our office a call on 01455 639 000, mentioning that you are a RR forum member.

If it's through the AA with Nationwide then if it is mot exempt then a certificate isn't required - it might be worth getting it in writing from Nationwide though as I wasn't impressed with the AA call centre at all, although after I put in a formal complaint they did say they were wrong and if i had paid the about 2k they wanted to recover me and the caravan they would have refunded it

Also worth clarifying that whilst you are MOT exempt from 40 years after date of manufacture, historic status does not start until the April after so you could potentially be running about exempt but not registered historic for a significant time.

Not an issue for me. It's 1 month older than me - November 1951. I've sent an email to Nationwide - better than a phone call
