QUICK SALE NEEDED AS I'm LEAVING THE COUNTRY, MAKE AN OFFER, GET A BARGAIN.
1971 land rover s3 109 station wagon. Not really sure how to price it so make a reasonable offer.
This was built for touring Africa but then covid happened. The bodywork was left untouched to blend in (flat paint, scratched, dented etc), don't let looks deceive though, a lot of time and money has been spent under the surface.
The chassis was rotten when I bought it so was replaced with a military one which I had sand blasted, welded, modified with a standard style rear cross member and painted with plenty of coats of high zinc primer and high zinc black paint to prevent future rust.
It has a 300tdi conversion using all Parker developments kit, this is mated to the rare 4 speed 1 ton gearbox. A Fairy overdrive is available at separate negotiation.
This has a rebuilt bulkhead, parabolic springs and uprated shock absorbers as well as custom 8" wide tubeless wheels that mimic 1 ton wheels but have safety beads with 285 section tyres. I tried to keep it looking fairly stock and scruffy so it wouldn't stand out.
It has sat for about 4 years and although fairly complete would require recommissioning and preferably a new interior although I do have all brackets to build as a 12 seater if that's what you fancy.
It will require the very basic wiring completing (in place and functional but loose), the very basic fuel system completing (used fuel line for another project), the interior building to whatever you want (I was going to make an overland camper) The front wings securing (I'll throw a few bolts in for transport), the headlights refitting (I think I have some) a new passenger door top, wipers fitting, heater fitting and just a general check over before hitting the road.
I'm pretty sure I have all of the bits to finish in the back but can't be certain as its been that long so ask and factor in to your bid.
This description is to the best of my memory, needs collecting before Wednesday the 28th of Feb as I'm going overlanding for a year and giving up the storage.
