MUST GO ASAP AS I'm LEAVING THE COUNTRY SOON.
Here's a 77 1500 midget I bought the other year via eBay without viewing. lets just say the last seller wasn't too honest with his description. Oops! I drove it 100 miles home with no issues until I hit a dear and caved the front in, I've replaced it with a used fiberglass front that's a pain to open, it could use some straps instead of fancy bonnet button things, its not perfect but it works.
1500 engine is a replacement by Ivor Searle, I can't remember now but in the stack of paperwork it suggests it was fitted less than 10k ago, who knows though. It runs well. NOW LEAKING FROM FROM TOP OF ONE OF THE CARBS new floats and needles have been fitted last year, suspect stuck needle as they are the unsinkable type of float, might be fine with a few taps, was running very very well.
Gear lever a bit stiff since sitting but all gears work. WILL NO LONGER SELECT GEARS WHILST RUNNING, SUSPECT CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER
Roof in good condition, tight and fairly new.
Chrome bumpers included but not in great condition.
Boot lid replaced with working red one as old had rusted apart.
1275 leaf springs in boot to lower rear end.
Stainless exhaust mid section, polyzaust back box. Home made foam air filters.
Can come with standard headlights as the ones pictured are from my land rover which is also for sale.
RUST ALL OVER, had I known the extent I wouldn't have driven it home and certainly wouldn't have checked that it still hits its top speed in excess of 100mph. Since sitting kids have kicked the rear of the drivers side sill through, this whole area is the worst bit.
Will need inner and outer cills, floors and the drivers side leaf spring hanger support as a minimum. I have some second hand fiberglass outer cills that will come with it but will need work and all other panels are readily available at reasonable prices.
Drop me a msg with questions or offers, car has to go fast so make me an offer.
