My devibus spray gun is good for hobby use, but i was wondering, after every time i paint, i strip the gun and use a bath of thinners to clean it. Can i give the gun a blast with some brake cleaner instead? It would make it easier to clean but I'm not sure if it could do the seals in?
thanks

You can buy cheap cellulose thinners marketed as Gun Wash in a 20l drum, i'm not sure what brake cleaner would do to the seals to be honest, you would think it would be ok but maybe check if it says anything on the packaging first - if it will disolve the paint as well?

i do have the 20ltrs of thinners, i have a 5ltr tin i put my gun wash into, then it settles over time. But i need clean thinners to get the gun totally clean, or i could give it a blast with some brake cleaner. I have tried it and it works well. Just don't want to damage teh gun.

I don't think it will damage the gun. Brake cleaner is fairly tame stuff.
