	So after much searching and even giving up on them a rare set of 13" fiat cloverleaf steels fell into my lap. Except mine look like this Pretty soon I'll have the paint and rust off them ready to do again. However I've seen that some were done black all over then silver faces. Others are silver then black inserts. Has anybody done a set and can share their experience of it? I'm planning on a high gloss finish with trim rings.

	I did a set of MGB ones a while back now for an old boy who sells classics. Similar condition to that originally and I had also pondered which way round to do them. If I remember right I did the black first as it was easier to mask the curves out. I think I did the black in a basecoat so that when the silver was applied I could unmask the black and 2K clearcoat the full rim. Looks like your rims would probably be easier to do the black first I imagine but it's all down to whatever you feel best doing.
