It came up for sale back in 2022 after I got a friend to have a look at the car on my behalf it came back home with a list of jobs to be done to it before I could use it on the road i.e new callipers all round head valley gasket, rebuild the carbs, service the engine etc after waiting about 9 months for the servo and rear brake callipers i took it to its first show in June last year like most cars there is still couple of jobs to be finished on it.
i.e some bit of body work needs attention, but in the whole not a bad car just need a bit of TLC
This year I hope to be visiting some of the original police officers who drove it whilst it was in service
I will keep every one updated whilst I'm going a long

Lovely! I'd not paid much attention to old police cars until reading the restoration of 'GEC' the SD1 on this very site. The quotes from accounts from ex-officers who'd driven them, and that exact car, in period really highlighted how much these cars mean to a very small group of people with a whole lot of fascinating stories, it'll be great to see what can be dug up about this'un.
