Hey guys I have a audi 80 b2 1.6 diesel and I was wondering if it possible to do a engine swap to a 2.3e petrol engine If it is what would it take? Can we reuse the current harness? Fuse box?

There are much differences between those engines.
The biggest difference is that the 4 cylinders are mounted on the subframe while the 5 cylinders are mounted to the main body structure. So they don't swap over easily. Radiator on 5 cylinder is to the side of the engine, not in front like 4 cylinder.
For the injection version you'll most likely need a relais for the fuelpump that's not present in the diesel.
Engine harness is different offcourse as the diesel has no wiring for a coil for instance.
But if your handy it's not impossible. Most can be made to work.
But be aware that those old 5 pots use the crappy fuel injection.. I wouldn't want one. They do sound nice but that's about it.
Going for a 1.8 20vt out of first A4 would be a nice option. Better fuel economy and more power and torque.

When you say mounted to the main body does that mean I would have to weld something? Like a mounting bracket?

Hmm ok Well I kinda wanted to do a "simple swap" I don't mind the harness stuff and all that but I wanted the engine mounts to be the same location Does the audi A4 have the same mounts as the B2? I've looked at the pics of the A4 the radiador is at the front but the engine mounts I have no clue..

Sorry, I have no idea if they're the same. But since it's an evolution of the old 4 cylinder there is a chance the old mounts will fit the newer engine.
But there must be someone who has build that combo before and has documented it.
