With so many being broken up for use of their engine over the years, a 3 door Golf VR6 in manual isn’t an easy find these days. This one we found in a local barn and it had been stored since 2014. As a result, it was in pretty solid order with just 79,000 miles and features a very clean full black leather interior with heated seats. Aside from a stereo, the car is completely factory original even down to exhaust and induction.
As much as I would like to finish this project, I have other priorities right now. The engine runs really smooth having quite low mileage. It has had a brand-new battery and alternator. It has also just received paintless dent removal to take out any age-related marks on the bodywork. The car has MOT, does run and drive but struggles to select gear sometimes, I believe this either a cable issue or clutch slave cylinder so should be a cheap fix. The sills have recently been replaced and just need sealing and protecting. The roof leaks due to one of the plastic drain channels has broken down which has caused a saggy roof lining. The passenger window also does not work. The car is currently dry stored and run up once a week.
The car Is perfect for a collector as it’s a 3 door, manual, low miles with leather interior. To be finished and enjoyed or sold on. The car come with current V5C document showing 5 former keeps and a small amount of history to prove the work we have done during our ownership. More images and videos available upon request.
