Mrs SE has had her Golf Cabriolet, Mk3.5 2.0 manual, for a long time. Its on about 120k, lots of mechanical bits done in her ownership including shocks, springs (30mm lowering Eibachs) and the like. Strong old engine and box.
Problem is the bodywork is jiggered and neither of us have the time or skill to sort it out. Main things are the windscreen surround (rusty in both corners) and wings (they all do that sir). I spent a small fortune on getting some used wings made to shape but they're about 3mm too big and don't fit properly... If you're not married to a VW nut, you probably won't know that the wings are unique to the Mk3.5 cabriolet and no one makes new ones.
We have an offer of £350 from someone wanting to break it... But would rather someone came with the intention of doing her as a project.
