We';;re on the hunt for a berlingo and saw this. Low mileage and looks really clean. Colour is original and is correct on the log book. Loved my old berlingo!
Seems picking one up for 500 quid is a distant memory now. Spoke with the seller who said old boy owner maintenance himself and there';;s no history. Is it a risk or shall I just facotr a cambelt and service etc in the costs. Always usually buy based partly on available service history.
Ant buying advice would be appreciated. Mileage checks out on MOT history ;

It was a risk! Rear axle gone, crustier underneath than an LDV at pdi! The seller wasn't aware just how bad it was. Off to look at a t4 today  |

T4s can get very crusty, and many have been tarted up to sell on   Some of the ventilation in mine Ttfn Glenn |

Berlingos are usually rot-free unless they've lived in somewhere like Scotland ! (Does everything rot up there?) Rear axles really easy to fix especially if it has ABS because then there's no load compensator to deal with . I prefer the Multispace to the panel van, and if you can find one get the petrol version or the 1.6hdi. Still some cheap berlingos about. I even bought one from Copart last month with 50K from new.  |

Went for the t4. Pretty solid van, great history including lots of recent work and the buyer was a really decent chap. Build thread coming soon
