Hi All
Anyone have any suggestions please
I'm after 1 metre of 16mm threaded rod with a 3.0 pitch,
Anyone know a supplier ??

Are you sure of the pitch ? Can't remember ever coming across 16 x 3 IIRC fine pitch is 1.5 and coarse pitch is 2mm

These are really coarse,
I measured them on a thread guage, came out as 3.0,
I'd actually already bought a metre of 16mm at 2.0 pitch but it's too fine,

That's the sort of pitch that lead screws come in. Are you sure it's not a trapezoidal thread?

That will almost certainly be a lead screw, (not a standard metric thread like threaded rod) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadscrew May well be specific to the ramp manufacturer. |

search this on ebay should bring up what you need
T14 to T20 Trapezoidal Screw Rod Nut, Pitch / Lead 3mm 4mm, Long 150 - 600mm Cut
looks like they are all from china though
maybe a lathe supply place may hold some

The other thing to check if its Buttress or Acme, Buttress is tapered on one side and is semi self locking, Acme is square form.
