Hi guys,
I bought to do a long trip Italy in with some friends, of which I did and this car didn't miss a beat.
Since bought I have done the following:
- Full service with NGK plugs (£70 alone), castrol oil, pollen filter, oil filter
- New throttle cable
- New battery (3yr warranty with Halfords) and holder
- New full standard 1.8t exhaust with CAT still there and new gaskets
- New Xomax bluetooth head unit with carbon wrapped fascia set
- Rear windscreen wiper delete (doesn't leak as its been awful weather recently and not a drop)
- Number plates
- New Lambda sensors
- New cone air filter & holder
- New thermostat
Notes on the car:
- 146,000 gov.uk approved miles
- TONS of paperwork dating back more than a decade
- Full V5 in my name
- AUDI TT Alloys with 4 good tyres & centre caps. (Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin & Landsail)
- Doesn't come with Gear knob as this is custom, £10 for a new one on eBay.
- Rust in MOT history sorted with pictures
- Brakes & pads in great condition, loads of miles left
- Cup holder & glovebox intact and working (weak point for these cars)
- Full size steel spare with Michelin on
- A/C Blows cold
- Side mirrors intact but in awful condition, either needs new caps or unit replacing, depending how fussy you are
Interior:
- 25th Anniversary seats that aren't in great condition at all on front (rear seats nearly mint)
- GTI Steering wheel
- Fully working electric sunroof
- Generally just scruffy
- Mats
Exterior:
- Scratches etc throughout
- Bumper and p side wing need attention, I have a paint matched can so just needs doing
- Hideous window tints (prev. owner, left on as more useful than not having them but would probably look better without them)
I have tried to be as honest as possible, any more info you need let me know. Car is currently SORN as I have a daily car.
Offers accepted but don't send me anything stupid. This car would be perfect if you want a fun, fast & reliable car and don't care too much about condition or if you fancy a cosmetic project with good bones. Test drive welcome and would be sold as seen on the day with receipt given.
