Welcome to this thread from myself and gewy who look after the paddock (and of course Mrs Gewy who looks after the sign-on the day aspect)
So I can answer questions related to the Track activity on Sunday - Please ask questions below and I'll answer them in the thread and also edit this post to provide all Q+A at the bottom of this post so no-one has to trawl thro a thread looking to see if a question has been asked or answered (I've stuck some of the common questions we always get asked at the bottom of the thread as well as some resulting from email enquiries)
General Info First
The Track Activity takes place only on the Sunday (Quick60 uses the Track on the Saturday)
All sessions will be sold in advance of the event
Currently We still have some spaces in the afternoon sessions - if you want to apply the link is below

What do we look for in the cars that apply
We look for a representative cross section of our diverse community
We take a "Noah Approach" what we mean by that is ideally we'd like no more that 2 of the same vehicle for morning and no more than 2 of the same vehicle for the afternoon - this is to limit what can happen in terms of specific marque clubs hammering in applications because of word of mouth outside this forum.
We also decline applications for both morning and afternoon for the same reason - it wouldn't be fair to others (we always tell people who would like both morning and afternoon that they should take a morning slot and if we have any drop outs for the afternoon we would consider dropping them in as replacements in the afternoon but there is no guarantee - it does however happen in very small numbers)
We also try to limit accepting applications from cars that have done the event several times in the past, however this is not a rule as such more a guide and let me explain why just a few cars frequently get approved even if they have done the event before.
If we had 80 cars and drivers that all have never done the event before we'd have a bloody tough time keeping control in the paddock - so there are a few "old hands" (I might get a slap for that because they aren't old) that we would welcome to ever event because they help in the paddock background to calm nerves and explain to drivers who haven't done the event before how it's going to work, to take the first run to understand the venue and to build the speed up gradually - those people know who they are and how much we value their help in this area - they can also pedal their respective cars very well and know their limits so we can trust them to respect the track)
We should also add they are not "mates" of us or any of the RRG team but people who have provided guidance to newbies before without being asked and were happy to continue to do that when asked.
IMPORTANT - You will require a show entry ticket (Camping wristband or Day Ticket)
Vehicle must be We are looking for entries from cars that are Pre-1995 but we may be "flexible up to a very firm cut off 1999" - nothing newer thanks it's not our sort of thing*
*Note: there is some wiggle room with this, late registered examples of cars that were being manufactured before 1999 as an example, so do your application if you think you can squeeze in and let us work out what fits on the track
Drivers
On the day any driver will need to have with them
Valid Driving licence (Photocard or old style Paper one) - if you have lost or miss-laid either then you can get print out (screen print) from DL Check - Click Here To access DL info you do need Driving licence number, National Insurance Number and Post Code.
Need to show DL at sign on, complete an indemnity and attend drivers briefing before the session start.
No requirement for proof of MOT or Insurance at this event.
Helmets - Mandatory - It's your head in it - if it's suitable for use on a motorcycle it's OK for this event - the track activity is not timed or in any way a competition but we need to comply with Mallory requirements.
Unlike Goodwood we are not able to provide/hire helmets at Mallory you need to bring your own helmet.
Passengers
Vehicles can have one driver and one passenger – so two people max
Co-drivers (people sharing driving one car)
Need to just show DL at same time as driver books in, sign an indemnity on the day and attend drivers briefing before the session start.
No age or height restriction on passengers but they reserve the right to review this on the day and they must be wearing suitable seatbelts that fit properly.
Seat Belts
Seat belts if fitted are to be worn.
Trailered and non road legal vehicles
Cars arriving on trailers require permission in advance – we have very limited space for trailers and quite frankly they are a PITA to deal with so don’t think we will automatically say yes to a trailered car – we won’t.
As a result of Mallory being a motor racing circuit we have no restrictions on non-road legal vehicles however it brings with it a requirement for an element of scrutineering so we are able to strike a balance at this event – it will be a balance.
Confirmation of conditions – ie the car entered is one that goes on track – no substitutions of post 2000 ie modern (Please note a retro alternative would be acceptable)
Refunds and cancellations
As a result of a number of cancellations at the last event we are implementing a cancellation policy – up to one week before the event we will refund and offer the space to reserve – after that point we will not refund.

Questions and Answers - some as a result of emails
Q - Why is there a selection process and it's not first come first served
A - There is always a selection process as we want a variety covering everything that is RR (oh and I don't want 60 mx5's - I like MX5's I just don't want 60 of them )
Q - Why have you split the morning and afternoon sessions into two - last year it was either morning or afternoon?
A - It stops there being a long wait between runs makes the overall group size more manageable and generally makes it easier to manage the activity - it gives us a little bit of downtime at the changeover but in general it works better
Q - What is the track format?
A - It will be a sprint set up same as 2023 - 2 full laps from standing start in the pit lane following the course on track with "approx 5 cars" on circuit at a time set off in staggered intervals - we don't do normal track day format plenty of those at most motor racing circuits - we try and give people an affordable and enjoyable taste of track activity based around a motorsport theme.
(actual track configuration to be confirmed)
Q - Will overtaking be allowed again?
A - Yes but only in designated places (will be covered in the drivers briefing)
Q - Do we need Helmets?
A - Helmets are mandatory - Passengers and drivers (No more than 2 people in a car)
Q - How many people/cars will be in each session, aiming for 3 runs?
A - Same as 2022 whole circuit 2 laps - min 3 runs (provided no incidents because they really eat into track time)
Q - Are there any tyre restrictions?
A - No tyre restrictions but please bear in mind whatever you use will be cold for the first part of the sprint
Q - What the noise limits?
A - 105 db static and 101 db driveby - It's anticipated that as per Mallory 2022 we will not noise test all cars and Mallory will monitor the overall noise level and any cars causing concern will be called in for noise testing the paddock after a session
Q - Why is the Late Afternoon session £10 cheaper than the others?
A - Fundamentally it's always the late afternoon session that gets squeezed time wise if we have issues on the day - it's also the hardest session to fill space wise - it has the highest attrition as people frequently drop out after a few runs knowing they've got to drive their cars home so we offer a small discount and normally those that keep running get the same amount of track time as the earlier sessions
