Just bought my 1.4GSi 5sp 5d, as a birthday treat.  I'm never happy with 'just showroom' so tweaking will commence 🙊🙉🙈 It is a dark met. Grey, quite sober tbh. However it has terminal LakkaPeel on the tail lip spoiler. I'm going to rub the worst off/flat... then mask to brush paint higloss black. It's running stock 14" steels... That will Never DO 😮 >>> I'm looking into CorsaE 'fake alloys' 4spoke steel rims 15x6 *ET50. The bore is bigger so would need rings... *ET39 is better and can be found.  Only 63k on 06, so it should have a bit of life still in it.... My local guy can do a Belt Kit (... No 'cambelt roulette'/interference engine) Piccies, if anyone might be interested... OVIMOR |

Yes.
I am interested.
Often these “Grey/pensioner” type cars are bypassed and missed out completely, because it’s not a Polo, Fiesta or similar scene car.
Unless you look at Malaysia or some country of origin where they have a scene specific to the car.
Those 4 spoke wheels absolutely have my attention.
As for the colour, I am a big fan of graffiti, pinstripes, small detailed extras to pop off against the sober colour.

My daughter had one of these.Great little cars. 1st-2nd synchro can be a weak point but oterwise nothing major. I fitted very slightly lower springs to reduce the roll and they didn't ruin the ride.

The idea is you get something that looks like an alloy to the causal observer, but were cheap to sort when scuffed. When new the trims were fairly cheap, 20 odd quid each, but I don't think they sold many - the typical driver couldn't car less about a scuffed wheel. Personally they're not my cup of dried leaves in boiling water either with or without the trims, but the beauty of car modding is that its a broad church. The may also come with the added benefit that insurers might not get so excited about them. |

It came to me earlier today- they were called Structure Wheels. When launched new wheel trims were only 16 measly quid.
