It's like a metallic version of the Morris minor million lilac colour. I wonder if it's anything to do with it?

Thanks for posting cortinaman. That Magnette is owned by a thoroughly decent fella I know called Chris and he has been known to frequent this establishment phunkiehiboy. He used to be very active on Rods'N'Sods too. I seem to recall that blackpopracing knows him too? Used to own a very cool yet undestated/underrated 32 Roadster then moved it on to be replaced by the Magnette.

It also seems to fit the "cafe racer" theme linkHopefully Chris will be along to tell us more about it!

Great selection.
Thanks for taking the time to share.
MG Magnette for me.
The suspension work on that Pre-war racer is just sublime.

Understated 32 roadster was running a supercharged Cosworth YB engine and A4LD auto trans.
Magnette has a 5 bearing "B" engine, 1860, MSX crossflow head by Peter Burgess, mild cam, Eaton M45 blower (by the High Speed Lab, in Missouri) and a basic Bosch Jetronic style injection system by me, Rover 52mm throttle body, wasted spark ignition and fuel controlled by Omex management and lots and lots of fabrication in the manifolds and plenum. All backed up with a 4 synchro overdrive MGB box. MGA disc conversion.

It really is a work of art and a credit to your skills. Do you have a build thread for it anywhere? cheers Cortinaman
