Hello people I'm new here from Oz.. Was browsing the net and stumbled on here after perusing some Vauxhall Viceroys and Opel Carltons.
Photos are of Holden Commodore SL/E 1981 build based on Opel.
Massive mods were done by Holden to reinforce the chassis for Oz roads, heat and to take 6cyl and V8 engines.
This is mine. Purchased in 1984 and rebuilt between 2015 and 2021.
Engine is 3.3 litre in line 6, stage 2 camshaft YellaTerra stage 2 x 12 port head triple DCOE45 Weber carbs on lynx manifold..
Gearbox has been upgraded from Trimatic (commonly referred to as traumatic!!!) To GM 4l60E 4 speed automatic controlled by HGM controller.
Interior is original content. In excellent condition. Only dashboard and centre console were renewed.
Paint was completely redone to original using Acrylic Lacquer to maintain genuine look. Colours are top Tahitian Blue bottom Mercury Silver.
I still have all original parts which could be refitted easily for the buyer who wants original condition. Has been modified for the pleasures of driving.
