Hello everyone, Listed here for sale is my complete MX-5 Conversion package.
A little bit of background with this, I was building myself a Locost, you know the Haynes manual that gives you the plans to make a caterham-esq car for cheap. Well I gave that a go, thoroughly enjoyed it, but like 95% of them i have lost interest and have moved onto many other things. As part of the project i bought a full MK1 MX-5 to use as a donor car, so i have sat in my garage a whole conversion package ready to go. These things are becoming incredibly popular and i have seen MX-5 underpinnings in many things to great effect, So this is how i came about it and why i now have it for sale.
Included in the package will be the following. This is all taken from a JDM 1989 Mazda MX-5 that was imported to the UK in the early 2000s.
1.6 engine on 130km including all ancillaries
5 speed gearbox
Prop shaft
Complete car loom - I was going to use this on my locust, so everything is there so you could use it to run your whole car, Switch gear in this case is availible.
Clocks and cable
ECU
Exhaust manifold
Off the top of my head that is all i can think of that would be needed. For this i would be after £650ono.
If more is needed, i have a vicious diff, shafts, uprights, the whole lot. Alternatively, if you are after the details to IVA your car and use a donor vehicle, i have everything here to do that.
This will need to be collected from Kent, however i am able to drop this a reasonable distance in a van for a cost.
If this is sold through here i am happy to send a 10% donation to the board, better rates than eBay and it goes to a better cause!
