Suzuki SJ410V
I bought this in 2020 with the intention of doing up during the Coronavirus period, and drove it up from the bottom of the country (about 200 miles on the motorway). A clean up job ended up as a full restoration.
I spent a year welding up the body and replacing everything on it. It's had every nut and bolt replaced with genuine Suzuki bits. Everything is standard Japanese 10/12/14mm size, there isn't a single 13mm nut/bolt.
The ones I couldn't get were sent off to be professionally stripped and zinc plated. All the suspension components, mounts and door hinges have been blasted and powder coated. Everything has been cleaned and there isn't a spot of grime anywhere. All suspensions bushes are new and I've put Powerflex bushes on the leaf springs.
I've rebuilt the engine (valve stem seals, valves, piston rings, bearing shells, etc), all new gaskets, head skimmed. I've replaced the clutch and it has a brand new radiator. Service things like rotor arm, points, condensor, engine oil, coolant, correct trans/gearbox fluid have been done recently.
The chassis was stripped and sprayed with 2-pack Raptor truck bed paint - the bare shell had the floors, engine bay and the underside sprayed in this also. It was then sprayed with Porsche Crayon Grey direct gloss paint.
I've tried to keep everything standard, and haven't modified anything apart from non-standard colour, carpets and seats from an SJ413, and a rear bench. It came with the rubber mats, which are included.
It has a Suzuki towbar and front bull bar, which have 8" spot lights wired properly in with a seperate relay circuit and switch.
There's two keys which work in ignition, doors, glovebox and fuel cap.
The only thing that I haven't touched is the gearbox and carburettor, which both work fine. You might want to rebuild the carb, but I've found if it works, leave it alone. It starts first time everytime with the choke out a little bit.
It's an early 'tin top' commercial van SJ with no rear windows and metal dashboard and side grille on the scuttle, I don't think there are many of these left.
I'm not a professional but it's completely solid and everything has been done to an obsessive level to get it right.

The axles have been rebuilt with new seals, all wheel bearings have been done, and the brakes have been rebuilt with new seals, cylinders, pipes, hoses and retaining clips.
The last thing I did was this week, I'm rebuilding the transfer box with new bearings, seals, etc.

Everything works, I've done a lot of short journeys but a few 50 mile runs and it runs fine. It can keep up with motorway traffic. Upgraded suspension and standard road tyres means you can really go round corners quite quickly.
The only bad point is it leans about an inch on the back towards driver's side - I've checked the body mounts and they are OK, so assume the leaf springs are sticky or something. I only noticed this when the lady in the MOT place pointed it out. It doesn't affect the driving at all.
